Uma adolescente de 16 anos foi resgatada nesta quarta-feira (18) pela Polícia Civil do Espírito Santo, após ter sido sequestrada em Barra de São Francisco, na região Noroeste do Estado, no dia 16 de março. O crime teria sido planejado após os envolvidos tomarem conhecimento de que um familiar indireto próximo da vítima havia ganhado um prêmio da Mega-Sena em 2025.
Segundo a Polícia Civil, o grupo inicialmente pretendia sequestrar outro parente, mas acabou capturando a adolescente, que não tem vínculo consanguíneo com o ganhador. A ação era coordenada por um detento do presídio de Teixeira de Freitas (BA), ligado ao Comando Vermelho.
Com apoio das autoridades baianas, a polícia localizou o cativeiro em Nova Viçosa (BA). Durante a operação, houve confronto armado com um suspeito, que acabou morto. No local foram apreendidos um revólver, um veículo com restrição de roubo e cerca de 800 gramas de drogas. A adolescente foi resgatada com segurança e devolvida à família no Espírito Santo. As investigações seguem para identificar todos os envolvidos.
