Em Betim, Lula diz que governo vai recomprar refinaria privatizada por Bolsonaro
Na ocasião, Lula participou do anúncio de um investimento de R$ 9 bilhões na Petrobras para, dentre outros pontos, aumentar a capacidade de refino e reduzir o volume de importação de derivados de petróleo no mercado brasileiro. "Nós fazemos as coisas que precisam ser feitas. Eles venderam a refinaria da Bahia, nós vamos comprar a refinaria da Bahia, pode demorar um pouco, mas nós vamos comprar", informou o presidente.
A Refinaria Landulpho Alves foi negociada por US$ 1,65 bilhão, no penúltimo ano de Bolsonaro no Planalto. A unidade abastece mais da metade da região Nordeste. Segundo Lula, além da compra da unidade, o governo também intensificará as pesquisas nas reservas de Petróleo. "Eles (governo Bolsonaro) achavam que a gente não deveria fazer mais prospecção de petróleo, que era melhor importar. Mas nós vamos continuar fazendo as coisas que nós sabemos que precisam ser feitas", complementou o presidente.
Durante a agenda, Lula ainda prometeu criar uma política de estoques de combustíveis na Petrobras. A promessa foi feita junto à presidente da estatal, Magda Chambriard, e servirá para conter preços e abastecer o mercado em momentos de crise, conforme o petista. A criação da política foi anunciada em meio às críticas de Lula aos ataques dos Estados Unidos e Israel e Irã que desencadearam em guerra.
"Isso não é rápido, leva tempo. Mas é estratégico que a Petrobras e o governo precisam pensar, para não ser vítima do que está acontecendo hoje", disse o presidente. Conforme Lula, a política tem alto custo final, mas será implementada. "Se o Brasil quer ser um país soberano, ele precisa de estoque para enfrentar crises, para quando tiver essa especulação no mercado, o governo ter condição de abaixar o preço", complementou.
