No início deste mês, na esteira das comemorações do Dia Internacional da Mulher, a Defesa promoveu a incorporação voluntária das mulheres ao Serviço Militar Feminino Inicial.
A iniciativa, inédita no Brasil, permite que jovens com 18 anos completos possam se alistar para as Forças Armadas, integrando as equipes da Marinha, do Exército e da Aeronáutica.
A medida amplia a participação feminina em espaços estratégicos do Estado brasileiro, garantindo às mulheres igualdade de direitos dos homens.
As novas militares foram selecionadas no alistamento voluntário de 2025, que entre janeiro e junho registrou mais de 33.000 inscrições, superando o número de vagas previstas.
