A Força Aérea de Israel atingiu a Ponte Qasmiya, no rio Litani, sul do Líbano, neste domingo (22/03) pouco depois que o ministro da Defesa do regime sionista, Israel Katz, declarou ter instruído o Exército, juntamente com o primeiro-ministro Benjamin Netanyahu, a destruir imediatamente todas as pontes que cruzam a rodovia costeira, sob alegação de supostas "atividades terroristas".
"[As Forças de Defesa de Israel foram instruídas a] destruir imediatamente todas as pontes sobre o rio Litani que são usadas para atividades terroristas. É para impedir a passagem de terroristas e armas do Hezbollah para o sul", afirmou Katz.
Ainda segundo o ministro, os militares israelense foram ordenados a demolir casas libanesas em "vilarejos da linha de frente". Segundo ele, a orientação segue o modus operandi aplicado pelo regime sionista em Beit Hanoun e Rafah, na Faixa de Gaza.

De acordo com o Exército israelense, as tropas estão expandindo sua ofensiva terrestre no sul do Líbano neste domingo. Segundo o órgão, em comunicado, foram apreendidas supostas armas usadas pelo Hezbollah e alegaram ter matado mais de 10 combatentes do movimento libanês que "representavam uma ameaça imediata", embora não tenha especificado quando ou onde as operações ocorreram.
Por sua vez, o Hezbollah afirmou ter realizado pelo menos 12 ataques ao longo da última noite, incluindo disparos de foguetes contra posições israelenses, em meio ao aumento dos confrontos na fronteira entre as nações.
Ataques contra o Irã
Mais cedo neste domingo, o ministro da Defesa Israel Katz também advertiu que as tropas israelenses enviarão o Irã "décadas para trás" em resposta aos seus ataques retaliatórios que atingiram o sul do país.
"Se isso continuar, certamente vamos atingir o Irã com tanta força que será enviado para trás décadas", disse ele, ao visitar o local onde um míssil balístico iraniano atingiu a cidade de Arad, na noite passada, ferindo mais de 70 pessoas.
Em comunicado no sábado (21/03), o aliado de Netanyahu alertou que os ataques contra o a nação persa irão "aumentar significativamente" nos próximos dias. "A partir de domingo, a intensidade dos bombardeios conduzidos pelas forças de Israel e pelos militares dos Estados Unidos contra o regime terrorista iraniano e a infraestrutura da qual ele depende aumentará significativamente", ameaçou.
