O corpo da chefe da Guarda Municipal de Vitória, Dayse Barbosa Mattos, foi velado e enterrado no Cemitério de Santo Antônio, na Capital capixaba, na tarde desta segunda-feira (23). A chefe da Guarda Municipal de Vila Velha, comandante Landa, era amiga de Dayse e disse estar abalada com o crime. "Dayse era minha amiga antes de ser comandante, e foi uma honra imensurável fazer parte da vida dela", disse.
Dayse foi morta pelo namorado, o policial rodoviário federal Diego Oliveira de Souza, que tirou a própria vida após cometer o crime, na madrugada desta segunda-feira (23). A comandante dormia em casa quando o quarto foi invadido por Diego. Segundo testemunhas, ele acessou o imóvel com o auxílio de uma escada e arrombou a porta da sacada. Ela deixa uma filha de sete anos, fruto de um relacionamento anterior.
