O Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE) formou maioria de votos para condenar o ex-governador do Rio de Janeiro Cláudio Castro à inelegibilidade, por abuso de poder político e econômico na campanha à reeleição, em 2022.
Até o momento, o placar da votação está 4 votos a 1 pela condenação de Castro. O julgamento continua para tomada dos votos dos ministros André Mendonça e Cármen Lúcia, os últimos a serem proferidos.
O único que votou a favor de Castro, até o momento, foi o ministro Kássio Nunes Marques.
Nessa segunda (23), o ex-governador renunciou ao mandato e anunciou que é pré-candidato ao Senado nas eleições de outubro.
