André Mendonça vira novo relator do caso Master após Toffoli se afastar de investigação
A decisão de designar um novo ministro para cuidar do caso foi definida em reunião com todos os magistrados nesta quinta-feira (12), em que ficou acertado que Dias Toffoli deixaria a relatoria do caso.
Mendonça foi escolhido relator por sorteio, que deixou de fora apenas o próprio Toffoli e o presidente do tribunal, Edson Fachin.
Mendonça também é responsável por outro inquérito de grande repercussão e com impactos políticos diretos sobre o mundo político: a investigação sobre fraudes em descontos de aposentados e pensionistas do INSS.
A saída de Toffoli ocorreu após ele tomar uma série de decisões polêmicas na condução do caso, incluindo a imposição de sigilo severo sobre provas e a revelação de ligações do magistrado com pessoas interessadas no caso, como o ex-banqueiro Daniel Vorcaro, dono do Master.
