OpenAI encerra plataforma de vídeos Sora e se concentra em ferramentas profissionais
A empresa de inteligência artificial (IA) OpenAI anunciou nesta terça-feira o encerramento da plataforma de vídeos curtos Sora, seis meses após o seu lançamento.
A empresa que criou o ChatGPT confirmou no X a decisão e seu novo foco em ferramentas profissionais de codificação e produtividade, antes de uma possível oferta pública inicial de ações neste ano. Capazes de executar tarefas de forma autônoma no computador do usuário, essas ferramentas são o foco de atenção das gigantes do Vale do Silício.
O encerramento da Sora marca o fim de um dos produtos de IA destinados ao público geral mais difundidos no ano passado, e acontece em um momento delicado para a OpenAI, cujo modelo de negócios está cada vez mais comprometido, já que os custos aumentam mais rapidamente do que o lucro, apesar de a empresa contar com quase 1 bilhão de usuários diários no mundo.
