Demora no atendimento no IML motivou furto de rabecão em BH, diz defesa de suspeito
De acordo com o advogado Levindo Queirós Neto, o homem teria percorrido três órgãos públicos diferentes, enfrentando um "empurra-empurra" de responsabilidades sobre quem deveria realizar o exame pericial na criança. A indignação com a falta de suporte imediato teria provocado uma reação descontrolada. O advogado ressalta que o suspeito é um trabalhador e que "nunca teve a intenção de cometer o furto" ou gerar prejuízos ao Estado, classificando o episódio como um fato isolado decorrente de revolta emocional.
"Meu cliente é um sujeito extremamente trabalhador e por questões pessoais ele teve a atitude que teve, porque essas questões pessoais se somaram à dificuldade em conseguir um atendimento para o filho dele", disse o advogado.
Atualmente, o homem permanece detido no Centro de Remanejamento do Sistema Prisional (Ceresp) Gameleira. A defesa aguarda a realização da audiência de custódia, que deve ocorrer neste domingo (29), para pleitear a liberdade do cliente.
Em nota, a Polícia Civil de Minas Gerais esclareceu que o atendimento no IML depende de encaminhamento de autoridade policial ou judicial, além da apresentação de guia de exame. A instituição reiterou seu compromisso com o "atendimento eficiente e humanizado" e informou que a prisão em flagrante por furto qualificado foi ratificada.
