De acordo com o Dnit, os trabalhos iniciarão pelo Lote 8A - trecho do trevo de Caeté até Ravena -, totalizando 18 km. "O empreendimento tem valor previsto para R$ 405.408.730,60, com prazo estimado de conclusão em 16 de abril de 2028. Esse segmento apresenta um volume médio diário de cerca de 35 mil veículos", disse o órgão em nota.
À tarde, em Contagem, na Grande BH, o ministro participará da entrega de novas locomotivas que serão incorporadas à frota da Ferrovia Centro-Atlântica (FCA), produzidas pela Wabtec, e realiza a assinatura do aditivo contratual da Rodovia Fernão Dias, administrada pela concessionária Motiva.
