O principal nome por trás disso é o compositor, violonista, arranjador, letrista e cantor Mario Adnet, 69. Agora em parceria com seu irmão Chico, 66, dono de igual cartel, ele traz para 2026 o Rio musical de, pode crer, 1936, 1946, 1956. O álbum se chama "Falso Antigo", e o nome já diz tudo: são sambas do tempo em que a malícia se disfarçava de inocência e as ruas competiam em ritmos e rimas —só que inéditos, feitos hoje ou há bem pouco por Mario e Chico. Um delicioso pastiche do passado, algo que só quem conhece a música de ontem e de hoje consegue realizar.
Mario e Chico recriaram as harmonias, os ritmos e o espírito dos velhos sambas, mas rechearam-nos de temas atuais, como astronautas, fake news, indústria fonográfica, e com uma liberdade com que nem sonhavam os bambas do passado. Para meu prazer, o resultado não lembra os previsíveis Noel, Ary ou Ataulpho, mas os sambistas "menores" —menores hoje, mas poderosos em sua época— como Assis Valente, Roberto Martins, Alcir Pires Vermelho.
Pequenas maravilhas como "Falso Baiano", "Samba Réquiem", "Fred Astaire no Samba" e as seis outras não tocarão no rádio, mas estão nas plataformas. E talvez só Mario e Chico conseguissem reunir convidados tão completos como Roberta Sá, Mônica Salmaso, Pedro Paulo Malta, Pedro Miranda, Jards Macalé e os jovens Marcelo Adnet (sim, mais um Adnet) e Mosquito, apoiados por um escrete de instrumentistas.
Admiro e conheço bem Mario Adnet. Enquanto houver alguém para escutar, ele provará que a música não é uma arte extinta.
