Histórias de guerra não são para amadores – Money Times
Tem muita gente que diz que adora histórias de guerra. Aqui um adendo: ninguém – eu espero – gosta de guerras em si, mas dos contos que as envolvem e dos aspectos humanos, estratégicos e das lições que situações de conflito podem trazer.
Mas é muito fácil ler nos livros de história ou ver nos filmes tramas assim.
A verdade é que a guerra e suas histórias não são para amadores. Pelo contrário.
Foi um pouco do que ouvi e senti na entrevista que eu e Thiago Salomão fizemos na última semana com Lourival Sant'anna.
Lourival é jornalista, escritor e já cobriu guerras em mais de 15 países. Já trabalhou em mais de 80 nações diferentes.
Na entrevista que deu ao Market Makers, ele reconta histórias, se emociona e fala de momentos marcantes, como quando entrevistou os líderes do Talebã. Ele conta que correu risco de morte nessa e em outras coberturas e que o pensamento que sempre lhe ocorria era se voltaria a ver os filhos – ele tem três.
Ele se emocionou ao falar da dor de visitar locais bombardeados e dá uma frase que me atravessou de fora a fora. "Não tem nada mais humilhante do que ser bombardeado. Você vai morrer pelas mãos de uma pessoa que nem sabe que você existe para poder contar um número no placar de um ditador ou governante, pra ele mostrar que está ganhando a guerra".
Histórias de guerra não são para amadores. Elas são traumáticas, humilhantes, mortais e devastadoras. Para quem luta, para quem vive e até para quem as relata.
