Em direito de resposta enviado ao Grupo Liberal, a Companhia afirma que o Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF) confirmou a inexistência de qualquer crime ou má-fé por parte de seus dirigentes.
Segundo a empresa, as divergências sobre os incentivos fiscais concedidos pelo Estado se limitaram à interpretação jurídica, questão também já superada pelo Superior Tribunal de Justiça (STJ).
A Cerpa alega que a suposta dívida de R$ 6 bilhões não é reconhecida e que os valores estão sendo discutidos judicialmente. A empresa diz ainda que mantém total transparência e disposição para uma solução responsável junto ao governo estadual.
