Terremoto de magnitude 5,8 deixa 12 mortos no Afeganistão

Relatos destacam que o tremor foi sentido por vários segundos na capital Cabul, o que levou moradores a deixarem suas casas e edifícios e buscarem áreas abertas. Em outras províncias, como Panjshir, Logar, Nangarhar, Laghman e Nuristão, também foram registrados danos humanos e materiais.
Em Laghman, o chefe de gestão de desastres da província, Qari Khair Mohammad Ghazi, declarou que o terremoto, combinado com fortes chuvas recentes, provocou a morte de uma criança, deixou três feridos e causou danos a mais de 40 residências.
Afeganistão já enfrenta impactos recentes de terremotos
O Afeganistão tem registrado abalos sísmicos recentes com consequências humanas e materiais. O chefe do distrito de Nurgal, Mawlawi Abdul Zahir Khakdost, afirmou que um terremoto anterior causou "grandes perdas humanas e materiais" e destruiu completamente diversas casas em regiões afetadas.
Como resposta, o governo afegão anunciou projetos de reconstrução. Na província de Kunar, foram construídas 15 casas e uma mesquita para famílias atingidas, com apoio financeiro de uma entidade beneficente, ao custo de US$ 150 mil.
Antes disso, outras 260 residências já haviam sido entregues, enquanto outras 290 seguem em construção. Moradores das áreas atingidas manifestaram satisfação com as iniciativas e pediram continuidade da assistência.
