Presidente dos EUA ameaça atacar usinas e pontes se Estreito de Ormuz não for reaberto
O presidente dos Estados Unidos, Donald Trump (foto), afirmou neste domingo, 5, que não descarta o envio de tropas terrestres ao Irã caso o país não faça um acordo e reabra o Estreito de Ormuz.
Em entrevista por telefone ao site The Hill, ele disse: "Não", ao ser questionado se descartaria enviar tropas.
"Pessoas normais fariam um acordo. Pessoas inteligentes fariam um acordo. Se fossem inteligentes, fariam um acordo", acrescentou.
Mais cedo, Trump havia publicado nas redes sociais uma mensagem em que ameaça atacar usinas de energia e pontes no Irã caso o país não cumprisse o ultimato.
"Terça-feira será o Dia das Usinas de Energia e o Dia das Pontes, tudo de uma vez só, no Irã. Não haverá nada igual!!! Abram a p* do estreito, seus loucos bastardos, ou vocês vão viver o inferno — aguardem! Louvado seja Alá".
O presidente reforçou que nenhum alvo de infraestrutura estaria fora de consideração caso os EUA e o Irã não cheguem a um acordo.
Em outra publicação enigmática na Truth Social, Trump apenas escreveu: "Terça-feira, 20h, horário do leste dos EUA".

Apesar das ameaças, Trump afirmou também neste domingo que ainda vê possibilidade de negociação.
"Acho que há uma boa chance para amanhã, eles estão negociando agora", disse em entrevista à Fox News.
"Se não fecharem um acordo, e rápido, estou considerando explodir tudo e assumir o controle do petróleo", acrescentou.
O Estreito de Ormuz é uma das principais rotas globais de transporte de petróleo. O fechamento da passagem elevou os preços da commodity e ampliou a pressão sobre a economia internacional.
