Schvartsman havia se tornado réu em fevereiro de 2020, acusado de homicídio doloso duplamente qualificado em 270 casos, além de crimes ambientais relacionados ao rompimento da barragem. — Estamos há 7 anos e 2 meses sem nossos amores, e a retomada do julgamento nos traz esperança de que a justiça será feita. É como se 272 pessoas, enterradas vivas, não fossem suficientes para responsabilizar quem tinha poder de evitar as mortes.
