MP do Pará ganha vice-presidência regional no Conselho Nacional de Procuradores-Gerais
PGJ do Pará destaca integração e defesa da Amazônia como prioridades
O procurador-geral de Justiça do Pará, Alexandre Tourinho, foi eleito vice-presidente do Conselho Nacional de Procuradores-Gerais (CNPG) na Região Norte na quarta-feira (11/2). Ao jornal O Liberal, ele afirmou que a nova função amplia a responsabilidade de inserir as pautas amazônicas no centro do debate nacional. "Será central assegurar que os temas sensíveis à realidade amazônica — como meio ambiente, direitos humanos, sustentabilidade e segurança pública — estejam devidamente inseridos no debate nacional", declarou.
A eleição ocorreu durante a primeira reunião ordinária de 2026 do CNPG, realizada em Brasília, e colocou o chefe do Ministério Público do Pará entre os representantes regionais que participam da articulação nacional do órgão. O conselho reúne os chefes dos Ministérios Públicos estaduais e da União e atua na coordenação de estratégias conjuntas diante de temas como segurança pública, defesa do consumidor e proteção ambiental.
Para Tourinho, assumir a vice-presidência regional também representa um reconhecimento ao papel do Pará no cenário institucional brasileiro. "Trata-se de uma responsabilidade institucional relevante, que reforça o compromisso de contribuir para o fortalecimento do CNPG como espaço de articulação, diálogo e construção de respostas nacionais", afirmou.
Entre as prioridades anunciadas pelo procurador está o fortalecimento da integração entre os Ministérios Públicos da Região Norte, com foco na troca de experiências e na construção de estratégias conjuntas. A ideia é ampliar a capacidade de atuação coordenada em temas que têm impacto direto sobre a população amazônica.
A eleição ocorre em um momento de reestruturação interna do CNPG. Durante o encontro, o colegiado aprovou uma nova organização baseada em quatro eixos temáticos: Assuntos Institucionais; Direitos Humanos; Meio Ambiente, Sustentabilidade e Defesa do Consumidor; e Segurança Pública. A proposta busca melhorar a articulação entre áreas que antes atuavam de forma mais fragmentada.
Segundo Tourinho, a mudança responde à complexidade crescente dos desafios enfrentados pelo Ministério Público. "Os grandes temas contemporâneos não se organizam mais em compartimentos isolados", disse, ao defender uma atuação mais integrada entre as diferentes áreas.
Além do procurador-geral do Pará, também foram eleitos vice-presidentes representantes das demais regiões do país e do Ministério Público da União. A nova estrutura deve orientar a atuação do CNPG nos próximos anos, com foco na integração institucional e na resposta a temas considerados estratégicos para o país.
