Segundo a EPR Via Mineira, concessionária responsável pelo trecho, ao todo, três vítimas foram encaminhadas ao hospital. Equipes da empresa, da Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF) e do Samu atuaram no atendimento à ocorrência.

De acordo com os Bombeiros, testemunhas relataram que o condutor do veículo responsável por provocar o engavetamento fugiu após o acidente.

Devido à ocorrência, uma faixa da rodovia foi interditada, gerando congestionamento na região. Segundo a EPR Via Mineira, o trecho foi liberado às 14h50 deste sábado.
