O presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva disse nesta terça-feira (21) que é preciso "dar logo" o Prêmio Nobel da Paz ao presidente dos Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, para que se possa acabar com as guerras no mundo.
"A gente vê, todo santo dia, declarações – que eu não sei se são brincadeira ou não – do presidente Trump dizendo que já acabou com oito guerras e que ainda não ganhou o Prêmio Nobel da Paz", disse, em declaração à imprensa durante visita a Portugal.
"É importante que a gente dê logo um Prêmio Nobel para o presidente Trump para não ter mais guerra. Aí o mundo vai viver em paz, tranquilamente", completou Lula.
Nações UnidasAssim como em outros discursos recentes em sua agenda internacional, o presidente destacou que o mundo registra atualmente a maior quantidade de conflitos desde a 2ª Guerra Mundial. "E não há uma única instituição capaz de falar a palavra 'paz'".
"Todo mundo sabe que eu sou defensor do multilateralismo. Todo mundo sabe que sou inimigo do unilateralismo e do protecionismo. Todo mundo sabe que nós estamos numa jornada pelo mundo para fazer mudanças no Conselho de Segurança das Nações Unidas."
Segundo Lula, as alterações seriam direcionadas especificamente ao estatuto das Nações Unidas, "para dar a ela o sentido de existência para o qual foi criada em 1945."
"Não é possível que você não tenha nenhuma instituição capa de contemporizar, harmonizar e acabar com a quantidade de guerras que temos no mundo hoje", acrescentou Lula.
