Em conversa exclusiva com o iG, a rainha destacou que, apesar da longa experiência, a emoção nunca muda. "Sempre tem aquela adrenalina, o frio na barriga, a expectativa e a vontade de dar o melhor", afirmou.
Quitéria também ressaltou a responsabilidade de ser uma das veteranas da avenida e símbolo de resistência. Neste ano, o desfile ganha ainda mais significado com o enredo inspirado na obra de Conceição Evaristo, uma das maiores vozes da literatura e da cultura brasileira. A convite da autora, Quitéria representa o orixá Oxum na avenida, papel que exigiu mudanças de última hora na fantasia, mas que, segundo ela, "deu certo".
