Um estudo do Fundo Monetário Internacional (FMI) constatou que o programa do governo federal Bolsa Família não reduz a participação das mulheres na força de trabalho, a não ser para aquelas com crianças de até seis anos.
Nesse caso, o mercado de trabalho encontra uma menor participação feminina, por conta das responsabilidades em casa, tarefas domésticas e cuidado com a família.
Ainda de acordo com o estudo, as mulheres gastam em média dez horas a mais por semana no cuidado doméstico não remunerado do que os homens.
O estudo mostra, ainda, que a presença das mulheres na força de trabalho é importante para o crescimento do país. Para se ter uma ideia, se a diferença da participação de homens e mulheres no mercado de trabalho caísse de 20 para 10 pontos percentuais, até 2033 o crescimento do país poderia aumentar meio ponto percentual.
E são elas as responsáveis pela administração do dinheiro que entra em casa. Quase 85% das famílias que recebem o Bolsa Família são chefiadas por mulheres.
São os filhos pequenos que acabam levando essas mulheres para fora do mercado de trabalho.
Segundo o FMI, metade deixa de trabalhar fora até dois anos depois do nascimento do primeiro filho. A solução, segundo a pesquisa, é ampliar o acesso a creches, incentivar o trabalho remunerado e resolver as diferenças salariais.
