A Receita Federal realiza um rastreamento interno para verificar se houve quebra de sigilo de dados de ministros do Supremo Tribunal Federal e de cerca de 100 familiares, segundo informou a Folha de S.Paulo neste domingo (15).
De acordo com o jornal, a lista inclui pais, filhos, irmãos e cônjuges dos dez ministros da Corte. O pedido para análise das informações partiu do ministro Alexandre de Moraes.
Para concluir o trabalho, auditores da Receita precisariam realizar cerca de 8 mil procedimentos de checagem. Pessoas ouvidas pelo jornal sob condição de anonimato afirmaram que o volume de verificações torna o processo demorado.

À Folha, a Receita afirmou que não comenta demandas judiciais para preservar o sigilo das informações. "Esse processo está sob sigilo de Justiça, só cabe ao STF qualquer autorização de divulgação", disse o órgão em nota. "A Receita recebe diversas demandas judiciais de informação, não se manifestando sobre elas por conta de sigilo tributário e, muitas vezes, também judicial, como é o caso".
A solicitação do ministro foi feita, conforme pessoas que acompanham as investigações ouvidas pela Folha, no âmbito do inquérito das fake news, aberto em 2019 para apurar ataques contra integrantes do Supremo.

O movimento ocorre no contexto da crise institucional desencadeada pela quebra e liquidação do Banco Master, que se agravou após a Polícia Federal entregar ao presidente do STF, Edson Fachin, um relatório que fez o ministro Dias Toffoli perder a relatoria do caso. Segundo a Folha, a situação gerou desconfiança sobre possíveis vazamentos de informações protegidas por sigilo bancário e fiscal.
A PF, ainda de acordo com o jornal, não participa neste momento da apuração sobre eventual vazamento. O veículo também relatou que ministros do STF discutem a possibilidade de investigar condutas da PF e da Receita em procedimento na própria Corte.
