A Confederação Geral do Trabalho (CGT), principal central dos trabalhadores na Argentina, convocou para esta segunda-feira (16/02) uma reunião virtual para formalizar a convocação de uma greve geral de 48 horas, nos dias 18 e 19 de fevereiro, contra a reforma trabalhista do governo Javier Milei.
A decisão ocorre após a aprovação das mudanças no sistema laboral do país pelo Senado argentino na última quinta-feira (12/02). Duramente criticada pelos peronistas e partidos aliados, a reforma de Milei é considerada pelas centrais argentinas um "retrocesso histórico" nas leis e direitos coletivos e individuais dos trabalhadores.
A CGT decidiu acelerar as mobilizações diante da possibilidade de o texto ser levado à Câmara dos Deputados antes de 1º de março, quando as sessões serão abertas pelo presidente argentino na Casa legislativa. O Parlamento está funcionando em regime extraordinário devido à tramitação da reforma.
Em comunicado, a CGT classificou a proposta como um retrocesso e uma "brutal transferência de recursos dos trabalhadores para o capital". Milhares de argentinos foram às ruas protestar e foram duramente reprimidos pelas forças policiais na quinta-feira (12/02).
Assim que a matéria passou no Senado, a Central emitiu uma nota de repúdio afirmando que a reforma "não irá resolver os problemas do mundo do trabalho", instando os deputados argentinos a detê-la. "Aos deputados e deputados dizemos: essa Central continuará seu plano de ação em todos os âmbitos que sejam necessários: nas ruas, na Justiça e, também, no Congresso Nacional", advertiu a entidade.
A CGT exige um "projeto que ponha novamente no centro o trabalho e a dignidade dos trabalhadores", e destaca que a reforma fere da Constituição Nacional e os tratados internacionais. Entre os pontos polêmicos proposto pelo governo Milei está a redução da remuneração de empregados durante licenças por doenças ou acidentes não vinculados ao trabalho.
A CGT sustenta que a mudança implicaria a superação dos prazos atuais com cortes de 50% ou 75% nos salários, medida que, segundo a central, "afeta o bolso do trabalhador em momentos em que ele tem despesas adicionais decorrentes de sua condição médica."
