Mela-mela de Paracuru cresce e provoca congestionamentos no terceiro dia de Carnaval
Em comparação com 2025, o tradicional mela-mela de Paracuru ganhou novas proporções no Carnaval deste domingo, 15. A multidão ocupou um dos principais cruzamentos da cidade, provocando congestionamento que a Guarda Civil Municipal demorou a conter.
Com abundância de carros equipados com paredões de som, abordagens policiais para o controle de volume geraram atritos com alguns motoristas, que foram obrigados a reduzir o som.
Trânsito travado e festa nas ruas
Se nas estradas o fluxo era tranquilo, na cidade o cenário foi diferente. O engarrafamento bloqueou tanto o acesso à praça principal quanto a via que leva à Arena Paracuru Folia, novidade deste ano.
Mesmo com o sol se pondo, foliões seguiam em direção contrária ao trânsito, retornando do mela-mela e indicando que a festa ainda estava longe de terminar.

Tradição toma conta do Centro
O mela-mela é a manifestação mais conhecida do Carnaval de Paracuru, no litoral oeste do Ceará. A brincadeira consiste em jogar goma (amido de milho), além de espuma e água, uns nos outros, transformando o Centro da cidade em uma grande nuvem branca.
O epicentro da folia é a Praça do Farol, onde o "Palco do Mela Mela" inicia a programação geralmente por volta das 13 horas, seguindo até a noite. No segundo dia da brincadeira, imagens registraram um "mar" de foliões na principal rua do município. Confira.

A festa deste domingo, 15, conta com shows de Wesley Safadão, Nuzio Medeiros, Tito e Bandana.
Nos próximos dias, estão confirmadas apresentações de Dennis DJ, Pedro Sampaio, Mara Pavanelly, Zé Cantor e Henry Freitas.
Segundo a Prefeitura, nos dois primeiros dias de Carnaval, mais de 100 mil foliões passaram pela cidade, localizada a cerca de 80 quilômetros de Fortaleza. A Arena Paracuru Folia foi estruturada para receber até 50 mil pessoas por noite.
