Sheinbaum lança incentivo para fortalecer indústria audiovisual mexicana
Medida visa manter produções nacionais e atrair projetos de alto valor agregado, oferecendo desconto de 30% nas despesas de filmagens
A presidente do México, Claudia Sheinbaum, apresentou neste domingo (15/02), no Palácio Nacional, um incentivo tributário para a indústria cinematográfica mexicana. A medida prevê um desconto de 30% nas despesas de produções audiovisuais nacionais. O novo marco operacional entra em vigor nesta segunda-feira (16/02), após sua publicação oficial no Diário Oficial da Federação (DOF).
"Queremos que mais filmagens aconteçam no México e também queremos que as produções independentes tenham maior distribuição", disse a mandatária mexicana em um evento realizado no Palácio Nacional, acompanhada pela prefeita da Cidade do México, Clara Brugada, pela secretária de Cultura, Claudia Curiel, e pela atriz Salma Hayek.
A medida, que busca manter as produções nacionais no México e atrair projetos de alto valor agregado, estabelece um limite de 70% de financiamento nacional para projetos elegíveis.
De acordo com a secretária da Cultura, Claudia Curiel de Icaza, "os beneficiários podem ser pessoas físicas ou jurídicas mexicanas, estrangeiros com estabelecimento permanente ou estrangeiros sem residência, mas que trabalham por meio de empresas locais".
As diretrizes estabelecidas detalham os requisitos precisos para cada categoria, sendo que os longas-metragens de ficção/anime exigem um investimento mínimo de 40 milhões de pesos; enquanto processos especializados, como animação, estabelecem limites de 5 milhões de pesos por atividade.
Essa abordagem busca garantir qualidade e sustentabilidade econômica, com um benefício máximo por projeto de 40 milhões de pesos.
A atriz e produtora Salma Hayek Pinault, indicada ao Oscar na categoria de Melhor Atriz, elogiou a iniciativa, afirmando que 'O México possui recursos únicos – diversidade ecológica, beleza geográfica – que atraem produções globais. Esses incentivos fazem do nosso país um destino incomparável para o cinema contemporâneo.'
A nova medida mexicana já aponta para a recuperação do valor da indústria cinematográfica, tanto cultural quanto economicamente, o que pode se traduzir em emprego, investimento e turismo.
