Uma criança de apenas um mês de vida foi encontrada sozinha na manhã do último domingo (15), nas proximidades da Praça da Piedade, no circuito Osmar (Campo Grande), em Salvador. Os pais foram presos em flagrante.
Testemunhas relataram que o bebê foi deixado no local após uma briga entre os pais, um casal em situação de rua, de acordo com a Defensoria Pública do Estado da Bahia. Durante a discussão, pai e mãe se agrediram e precisaram de atendimento médico devido aos ferimentos. Por isso, a criança acabou ficando sozinha.

Após receberem alta, os dois foram presos em flagrante e o bebê foi acolhido pela Defensoria. Na segunda-feira (16), ele foi levado a uma unidade de saúde, onde passou por exames clínicos. "A medida teve caráter preventivo e buscou assegurar que não houvesse qualquer intercorrência de saúde decorrente da exposição prolongada em ambiente de grande aglomeração", explicou o órgão.
Segundo a Defensoria, os pais são assistidos pelo Núcleo de Defesa da População em Situação de Rua (Núcleo Pop Rua) da própria instituição, que já acompanhava a situação de vulnerabilidade social da família.
Após avaliação das condições físicas, emocionais e sociais, a mãe teve o alvará de soltura cumprido, mas a Defensoria informou que ainda há medidas judiciais e extrajudiciais em andamento. A criança só deverá retornar ao convívio familiar caso isso ocorra em condições seguras e com acompanhamento adequado.
"A prioridade, neste momento, é garantir que o bebê permaneça em ambiente seguro, com acompanhamento técnico adequado, ao mesmo tempo em que se avalia a viabilidade de reestruturação familiar", afirmou a defensora pública e coordenadora da Infância, Carmem Novaes.
