Um acidente no km 128 da BR-222, em Itapajé, a cerca de 112 quilômetros de Fortaleza, foi registrado na manhã desta quarta-feira, 18. Uma carreta saiu da pista ao realizar uma curva e tombou sobre o acostamento, no trecho conhecido como "Curva do Jorge".
Conforme a Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF), apesar do impacto, não houve vítimas. A carga transportada está armazenada em contêiner lacrado, permanece intacta e, segundo a PRF, não oferece risco à população nem ao meio ambiente.

De acordo com informações preliminares colhidas no local, a análise do tacógrafo apontou indícios de velocidade incompatível com as condições da via, o que pode ter contribuído para o acidente.
"O Laudo Pericial de Sinistro de Trânsito (LPST) apontará a causa exata e a dinâmica do acidente", informou a PRF. O órgão aguarda o posicionamento da empresa responsável pela carga para a adoção das medidas necessárias ao destombamento do veículo.
