Mendonça libera Vorcaro de depoimentos a comissões no Congresso e proíbe viagem em jatinho
Os depoimentos estão marcados para segunda-feira (23/2) na CPMI e terça-feira (24/2) na CAE. Os presidentes da CPMI, senador Carlos Viana (Podemos-MG), e da CAE, senador Renan Calheiros (MDB-AL), ainda não reagiram à decisão do ministro. Em relação à CPMI, a defesa de Vorcaro assumiu compromisso, segundo Viana, dele comparecer à sessão para dar explicações sobre os contratos de empréstimo consignado do Banco Master.

Cerca de 250 mil desses contratos foram suspensos por determinação do INSS. O argumento é que parte expressiva desses contratos não tinham os documentos necessários para certificar que eles foram firmados com o consentimento dos pensionistas e aposentados.
Na CAE o assunto é outro. Uma subcomissão instalada pelo presidente Renan Calheiros pretende ouvir o banqueiro sobre as fraudes cometidas pelo Banco Master e detectadas em investigação da Polícia Federal (PF). A suspeita é que a instituição financeira negociou títulos de crédito podres com o BRB, o Banco de Brasília. Outras suspeitas de fraude também estão no radar da PF.

Antes de permitir que Vorcaro falte às sessões, o ministro André Mendonça tinha decidido que o banqueiro não poderia viajar a Brasília em seu jato particular. Pela decisão, ele precisaria se deslocar de Belo Horizonte em um voo de carreira ou em uma aeronave da Polícia Federal (PF). A cautela se justifica pelo fato de que Vorcaro é monitorado por tornozeleira eletrônica e está preso em regime domiciliar.
A decisão de Mendonça, apesar de restringir o uso da aeronave particular, autorizava o deslocamento de Vorcaro e foi comemorada pelo senador Carlos Viana.
