Duas mulheres morrem atropeladas na BR-101 e outra fica ferida

Duas mulheres morreram e uma ficou gravemente ferida após serem atropeladas por uma caminhonete, no final da tarde desta quarta-feira, 18, na BR-101, em um trecho próximo à localidade conhecida como Palmeiras, a cerca de 1 km do distrito de Itamarati, no município de Ibirapitanga. As vítimas fatais foram identificadas apenas como Dany e Kaly.
A terceira vítima, de prenome Diana, foi atendida por uma equipe do Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (Samu) e encaminhada a uma unidade hospitalar da região. O estado de saúde dela não foi divulgado.
De acordo com informações, as três mulheres caminhavam às margens da rodovia quando foram atingidas por uma Toyota Hilux de cor chumbo, que seguia no sentido Ibirapitanga/Travessão. Com a força do impacto, o para-choque do veículo se desprendeu e ficou no local, sendo peça-chave para a identificação do modelo envolvido.
O motorista fugiu sem prestar socorro. A caminhonete foi localizada na manhã desta quinta-feira, 19, encontrada na zona rural de Ibirapitanga, escondida em uma plantação de cacau às margens de um riacho. A Polícia Rodoviária Federal acionou um guincho para remover o automóvel, que passará por perícia.
