O município de Palmeira das Missões foi um dos mais impactados, com danos em mais de 500 imóveis e cerca de duas mil pessoas afetadas.

Além de causar destelhamentos em residências, prédios públicos e ginásios, o vendaval, com rajadas de até 65 km/h, provocou a queda de árvores e galhos, bloqueando ruas e dificultando a mobilidade de moradores e servidores públicos.
Os problemas também atingiram a rede elétrica e de telefonia, deixando parte da cidade sem luz e comunicação durante a madrugada.
Mobilização das autoridades e assistência à população
Equipes municipais mapeiam os prejuízos e auxiliam os atingidos. O número de imóveis danificados pelo temporal ainda pode aumentar.
A prefeitura informou que, até o início da manhã, não havia registro de pessoas desabrigadas, pois quem precisou sair de casa se abrigou temporariamente com parentes ou amigos.
A Defesa Civil estadual enviou agentes da 7ª Coordenadoria Regional de Proteção e Defesa Civil para apoiar as ações locais, enquanto o Departamento de Gestão de Desastres acionou a CPFL RGE (concessionária de distribuição de energia elétrica) com o objetivo de restabelecer o fornecimento na região.

Militares também distribuíram lonas a moradores que tiveram as casas destelhadas. Um gabinete de crise foi criado, envolvendo prefeitura, Defesa Civil, Brigada Militar e Corpo de Bombeiros.
A administração municipal avalia decretar situação de emergência para acelerar o auxílio à população e a recuperação dos danos.

Na região Norte do Estado, cidades como Sarandi, Chiapetta, Doutor Maurício Cardoso, Entre Rios do Sul, Pejuçara, São Nicolau, Três Palmeiras e Uruguaiana também relataram danos, incluindo alagamentos, destelhamentos, queda de árvores e interrupções em vias públicas.
A Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF), junto ao Corpo de Bombeiros e à Defesa Civil, atuou na liberação de mais de 30 trechos de rodovias federais bloqueados pela queda de árvores.
