Cooperativismo é reconhecido pela ONU e reforça impacto econômico global e mineiro
Até hoje, o cooperativismo é o único modelo de negócios a ser homenageado duas vezes com um Ano Internacional, em 2012 e 2025. O próximo ciclo está previsto para 2035. A iniciativa tem como objetivo mobilizar governos, instituições financeiras e a sociedade civil para discutir estratégias que aumentem a produtividade, a geração de empregos e a inclusão econômica.
Em Minas Gerais, o setor tem impacto significativo. De acordo com o Sistema Ocemg, o cooperativismo responde por 14,9% do Produto Interno Bruto (PIB) estadual e emprega mais de 61 mil pessoas em segmentos que vão da agropecuária ao crédito, passando por transporte e saúde.
Para o presidente da entidade, Ronaldo Scucato, o reconhecimento da ONU reforça o alinhamento do setor com os Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS) da Agenda 2030 e amplia oportunidades de investimento e crescimento econômico.
