"Vou levar minha Polícia Federal, meu ministro da Justiça, a Receita", disse à imprensa, ao fim de sua visita oficial à Índia. "Eles levam o FBI, a CIA, o Departamento de Justiça deles". Lula disse que já discutiu o tema por telefone com Trump ao menos três vezes e que o Brasil enviou às autoridades norte-americanas documentos, fotografias e nomes de investigados.

Além disso, ele um caso de contrabando de combustíveis e afirmou que o governo repassou informações detalhadas sobre suspeitos que estariam nos EUA. "Eu não quero recebê-los, eu quero prendê-los", afirmou sobre eventual pedido de repatriação de brasileiros.
Reunião de Lula e Trump
Lula classificou o crime organizado como uma "empresa multinacional altamente sofisticada", com atuação em vários países e presença em diferentes setores. "Tem braço no poder Judiciário, tem braço no futebol, tem braço na política, tem braço no empresariado", afirmou.
Segundo o presidente, o Brasil já criou estruturas para reforçar o combate a ilícitos na fronteira amazônica, em cooperação com países vizinhos, e está disposto a ampliar a articulação com os EUA.
Segundo o petista, a reunião com Trump não tratará apenas de minerais críticos ou tarifas comerciais e que a segurança é ponto central da agenda. Afirmou estar "muito otimista" com o encontro e defendeu uma relação "altamente civilizada, altamente respeitosa" entre os dois países. "Se tem uma coisa que nós precisamos trabalhar juntos é no combate ao narcotráfico, ao tráfico de armas e à lavagem de dinheiro", declarou.
Neste domingo, 22, Lula desembarcou em Seul, na Coreia do Sul, onde se reúne com o presidente Lee Jae Myung e com executivos de grandes empresas. O retorno ao Brasil será no dia 24.
