PRATO SURGIU NO LITORAL DO ES
Segundo estudiosos da gastronomia capixaba, a torta capixaba tem influências portuguesa, indígena e africana. O prato, originalmente ligado aos indígenas, surgiu no litoral do Estado.
A receita original reúne peixe, siri, caranguejo, camarão e palmito. Foram adicionados os ovos, as azeitonas, a cebola e o bacalhau, resultando na torta capixaba como conhecemos hoje.
A tradição é que o prato seja servido na Semana Santa, tempo de abstinência de carne vermelha para milhões de cristãos.
