Serra vai manter radares após municipalização de trecho da BR 101

A Prefeitura da Serra decidiu manter os radares de velocidade instalados ao longo da Avenida Mestre Álvaro, antigo trecho urbano da BR 101, que cruza o município do bairro Belvedere até as imediações do Viaduto de Carapina.
Com a municipalização do trecho, a administração iniciou a substituição dos equipamentos que pertenciam ao governo federal e à concessionária Ecovias Capixaba por novos dispositivos pertencentes à própria Prefeitura.
São nove radares no total, que monitoram 25 faixas no sentido Serra Sede e 24 no sentido Vitória. Os pontos de monitoramento permanecerão onde já existe a fiscalização eletrônica.
"Os dispositivos cumprirão os procedimentos legais obrigatórios, que incluem a instalação, a aferição técnica pelo Inmetro e a publicação dos editais de validação. Somente após a conclusão dessas etapas estarão aptos a iniciar a fiscalização", informou a Secretaria de Defesa Social (Sedes) da Serra.
