O deputado federal Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) iniciou uma espécie de campanha intitulada "Acorda, Senado", que pede o impeachment do ministro Dias Toffoli, do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF). A intenção é pressionar o presidente do Senado Federal, Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP).
O parlamentar disse que é "inacreditável como todo mundo está vendo os escândalos do Master, menos o presidente do Senado, Davi Alcolumbre. Já passou da hora de abrir o impeachment do Toffoli. Acorda, Senado!".
Toffoli entra na mira do Congresso Nacional após ter o nome vinculado ao do banqueiro Daniel Vorcaro, dono do Banco Master, investigado pela Suprema Corte, suspeito de comandar um esquema de fraudes bancárias envolvendo compra e venda de carteiras sem valor para o Banco de Brasília (BRB).
