Conforme o Inmet, o alerta permanecerá ativo até as 23h59 de hoje. Ainda de acordo com o instituto, as chuvas intensas irão afetar o Distrito Federal e partes de Estados espalhados por quatro das cinco regiões geográficas do Brasil:
Sudeste
Espírito Santo (todo o Estado), Rio de Janeiro (metade norte) e Minas Gerais (metade norte, exceto a faixa na divisa com a Bahia).
Centro-Oeste
Distrito Federal (toda área), Goiás (centro-norte, oeste e nordeste) e Mato Grosso (exceto a metade sul).
Nordeste
Maranhão (apenas no extremo oeste, na parte de divisa com Tocantins e Pará) e Bahia (somente o extremo sul e o extremo sudoeste).
Norte
Acre (todo o Estado), Rondônia (todo o Estado), Amazonas (exceto os extremos norte e nordeste), Roraima (apenas o extremo sul, na divisa com o Amazonas) e Pará (metade sul).
O Inmet afirma que nessas áreas pode chover até 100 mm no decorrer deste domingo. Além disso, há possibilidade de ventos de até 100 km/h.
"Há risco de corte de energia elétrica", avisa o instituto meteorológico. "Também há risco de queda de galhos de árvores, alagamentos e de descargas elétricas."
Orientações para encarar as chuvas intensas
Para quem está na área a encarar o alerta de chuvas intensas deste domingo, o Inmet lista três orientações:
não se abrigar debaixo de árvores, pois há risco de queda e descargas elétricas;
não estacionar próximos a torres de transmissão e placas de propaganda; e
