Os atletas do Fortaleza Basquete Cearense realizaram um protesto, nesta sexta-feira (13), reinvidicando dois meses de salários atrasados no clube. A ação ocorreu no início do confronto com o Rio Claro-SP, no Centro de Formação Olímpica (CFO), pelo Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) da temporada 2025-2026.
Após o apito inicial e a conquista da posse da bola, o quinteto inicial do Fortaleza BC colocou a bola no chão e prendeu a posse, sem movimentações. No ato, ficaram 20 segundos nessa posição até sofrer uma punição e repassar a posse para o time adversário, que venceu a partida por 93 a 72.
Com o resultado, a equipe cearense permaneceu na 18ª colocação geral, com 37 pontos, enquanto o Rio Claro é o 15º, com 41. Assim, o time segue longe da zona de playoff, que abre na 16ª colocação.
