O adolescente de 16 anos, agredido pelo piloto de automobilismo Pedro Turra, de 19 anos, morreu neste sábado (7) após 16 dias internado em um hospital do Distrito Federal (DF). O agressor está preso na Papuda.
O caso ganhou repercussão nacional. Inicialmente, acreditava-se que a briga teria sido motivada pelo lançamento de um chiclete contra a vítima, mas o advogado do adolescente, Albert Halex, tem defendido em entrevistas à imprensa que a briga foi motivada por ciúmes envolvendo uma ex-namorada do amigo do agressor.
O Colégio Vitória Régia, no qual ele estudava, informou nas redes sociais que foi confirmada a morte cerebral do adolescente, "que deixa uma história, marcas de afeto e memórias que permanecerão vivas entre nós".
O Grupo de Escoteiro Águas Claras, do Distrito Federal, lamentou a partida do jovem.
"É com muita tristeza em nossos corações que comunicamos o falecimento do jovem Rodrigo, antigo membro do Grupo Escoteiro Águas Claras", informou o grupo de escoteiros.
O agressor, Pedro Turra, chegou a ser preso em flagrante após a briga, mas foi liberado por pagar fiança de R$ 24 mil, e passou a responder ao inquérito por lesão corporal em liberdade. Porém, voltou a ser preso no último dia 30 de janeiro.
A nova prisão foi autorizada após a polícia apresentar provas de que Turra está envolvido em outros casos de agressão. Em um deles, ele teria usado um taser (arma de choque) contra uma adolescente de 17 anos para obrigá-la a ingerir bebida alcoólica durante uma festa.
Nessa quinta-feira (5), o presidente do Superior Tribunal de Justiça (STJ), ministro Herman Benjamin, negou habeas corpus protocolado pela defesa de Pedro Turra. Com isso, ele deve continuar preso preventivamente no presídio da Papuda, em Brasília.
A morte do adolescente foi confirmada pela vice-governadora do DF, Celina Leão: "A partida precoce de um jovem fere não apenas quem o amava, mas toda a sociedade", comentou em uma rede social.
No pedido de habeas corpus, a defesa de Turra contestou a decretação da prisão pela primeira instância e afirmou que o piloto tem residência fixa, não tentou fugir e colaborou com as investigações.
Segundo os advogados, Turra foi preso a partir de vídeos publicados na internet, sem contraditório e validação judicial. Além disso, a defesa disse que o acusado teme por sua segurança diante da exposição midiática do caso. (com Agência Brasil)
