Quem é Ben Mendes, influenciador do MBL que agrediu gerente de loja
De acordo com o boletim de ocorrência, o desentendimento começou quando um funcionário do influenciador tentou retirar um produto no estabelecimento. A gerente informou que a retirada só poderia ocorrer mediante apresentação da guia de compra, documento que não estava com o funcionário naquele momento. Mendes, que aguardava do lado de fora, foi avisado da situação e entrou na loja para tentar resolver o problema.

Em seu perfil, ele se apresenta como advogado, estudante de medicina, jornalista, cristão presbiteriano, conservador e "anti-esquerda". Casado e pai de três filhos, Mendes costuma abordar temas políticos e religiosos, além de defender o conceito de família tradicional.
O influenciador ganhou visibilidade principalmente por vídeos sobre direitos do consumidor. Nos conteúdos, ele recebe denúncias de pessoas que se dizem prejudicadas e acompanha os consumidores até estabelecimentos comerciais para tentar resolver conflitos. Segundo o boletim de ocorrência, a gerente afirmou ter reconhecido Mendes de uma gravação feita na mesma loja cerca de dois anos antes.
Mendes também anunciou, em fevereiro deste ano, que é pré-candidato ao governo de Minas Gerais nas eleições de 2026. O anúncio ocorreu cerca de um mês após ele se filiar ao Missão, partido ligado ao Movimento Brasil Livre (MBL), criado em 2025.
