PF pede a Fachin suspeição de Toffoli no inquérito do Banco Master - Brasil de Fato
O pedido foi feito, na última segunda-feira (9), após a PF informar a Fachin que encontrou uma menção ao nome de Toffoli em uma mensagem no celular do banqueiro Daniel Vorcaro, dono do Banco Master, que é investigado no inquérito e teve o aparelho apreendido durante busca e apreensão. A menção está em segredo de Justiça.
Após ser informado do caso, Fachin abriu um processo interno e determinou a notificação de Toffoli para apresentar defesa. Caberá ao presidente do STF decidir se Toffoli continuará como relator da investigação do Master.
No mês passado, Toffoli passou a ser criticado por permanecer na condição de relator do caso após matérias jornalísticas informarem que a Polícia Federal encontrou irregularidades em um fundo de investimento ligado ao Banco Master. O fundo comprou uma participação no resort Tayayá, localizado no Paraná, que era de propriedade de familiares do ministro.

Em nota à imprensa, o gabinete de Toffoli diz que a PF não pode solicitar sua suspeição e que o pedido trata de "ilações".
"O gabinete do ministro Dias Toffoli esclarece que o pedido de declaração de suspeição apresentado pela Polícia Federal trata de ilações. Juridicamente, a instituição não tem legitimidade para o pedido, por não ser parte no processo, nos termos do artigo 145, do Código de Processo Civil. Quanto ao conteúdo do pedido, a resposta será apresentada pelo ministro ao presidente da Corte", declarou.
Investigação
Em novembro de 2025, o banqueiro Daniel Vorcaro e outros acusados foram alvo da Operação Compliance Zero, deflagrada pela Polícia Federal (PF) para investigar a concessão de créditos falsos pelo Banco Master, incluindo a tentativa de compra da instituição financeira pelo Banco de Brasília (BRB), banco público ligado ao governo do Distrito Federal.
De acordo com as investigações, as fraudes podem chegar a R$ 17 bilhões.
