Acordo Mercosul-União Europeia é promulgado pelo Congresso
É promulgado nesta terça-feira (17), em sessão solene, o decreto legislativo que ratifica o Acordo Provisório de Comércio entre o Mercosul e a União Europeia (PDL 41/26). O texto prevê redução de tarifas para 91% dos produtos importados pelo Mercosul e 95% dos produtos importados pela UE.

Assinado em Assunção (Paraguai) em janeiro, o acordo foi aprovado pela Câmara dos Deputados no fim de fevereiro e pelo Senado no início de março, após mais de duas décadas de negociações entre as partes.
A sessão conjunta do Congresso Nacional acontece no Plenário do Senado.

Juntos, Mercosul e UE reúnem cerca de 718 milhões de pessoas e um Produto Interno Bruto (PIB) de aproximadamente 22,4 trilhões de dólares (aproximadamente R$ 115 trilhões).
Dados do Sistema Integrado de Comércio Exterior (Siscomex) apontam que a União Europeia é o segundo principal parceiro comercial do Brasil, com 100 bilhões de dólares (cerca de R$ 520 bilhões) em comércio de bens, com ligeiro superávit para os europeus em 2025.

Quando o acordo Mercosul-UE entra em vigor?
A entrada em vigor do acordo depende da comunicação, entre as partes, de que o texto foi ratificado. Em 27 de fevereiro, a Comissão Europeia anunciou que o bloco iniciará a aplicação provisória dos termos comerciais, mesmo antes da ratificação total por todos os parlamentos nacionais europeus.
No Brasil, essas tratativas ainda dependiam da ratificação do acordo pelo Congresso. Segundo o governo, a expectativa é de que o texto entre em vigor em até 60 dias após a promulgação.
