Também foi informado que a Secretaria Nacional do Consumidor (Senacon) mobilizou Procons de todo o país para organizar, integrar e ampliar as ações nacionais de fiscalização do mercado de combustíveis. O governo alega que estaria ocorrendo especulação nos preços, tendo em vista o contexto geopolítico e a cotação do petróleo.
O ministro da Justiça reforçou que a liberdade de preços é defendida pelo Executivo. O rechaço é contra o abuso de preços. "É inaceitável que o falso impacto da guerra justifique aumento de preços", declarou. Ele também reforçou que o aumento injustificado de combustíveis acarreta em multas de até R$ 13 milhões.

O governo criou na semana passada dois novos tipos de quantificadores para identificar a abusividade de preços: quando houver armazenamento injustificável de combustível ou quando ocorrer aumento excessivo sem fundamentação técnica.
