O banco confirmou que sofreu um ataque hacker que desviou recursos ligados ao Pix.
De acordo com informações de bastidores, o valor inicialmente desviado pode ter chegado a cerca de R$ 100 milhões. Parte desse montante, porém, teria sido recuperada rapidamente pela instituição.

Até a tarde deste domingo, as estimativas indicavam que o banco ainda precisava recuperar entre R$ 20 milhões e R$ 40 milhões.
Os valores não pertenciam a clientes do banco. Os recursos estavam relacionados ao saldo que o BTG mantém junto ao Banco Central para a liquidação de operações do sistema Pix.

Ainda não há indícios de que o ataque tenha comprometido os sistemas do próprio Banco Central.
Em nota, o BTG Pactual afirmou que a segurança das informações dos clientes permanece preservada.
