O presidente da Câmara dos Deputados, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), disse nesta terça-feira (7) que o líder do governo, o deputado federal José Guimarães (PT-CE), havia sinalizado que o Executivo não irá enviar projeto de lei (PL) sobre o fim da escala 6 x 1. Dessa forma, a tramitação do Projeto de Emenda à Constituição (PEC) sobre o tema não seria afetada. O Planalto nega.

Em entrevista a jornalistas, Motta informou também que a Comissão de Constituição e Justiça (CCJ) da Câmara dos Deputados deve votar a PEC sobre a temática na próxima semana. O presidente da Casa Baixa disse que a expectativa é de que o texto seja apreciado no Plenário da Casa Baixa até o fim de maio.
Segundo Motta, o período "dá a oportunidade" aos setores de se manifestarem sobre o fim da escala 6 x 1.
