O que está acontecendo?
O ex-governador Antonio Denarium é acusado de abuso de poder político e econômico nas eleições de 2022. O político renunciou ao cargo em março de 2026 para concorrer a vaga no Senado Federal e o então vice-governador Edilson Damião assumiu.
A saída do cargo não fez com que o julgmanento já em trânsito em terceira e última instância perdesse o núcleo do objeto, que é julgar os crimes por Denarium, na chapa.
Se o TSE confirmar as irregularidades, o atual governador perde imediatamente o mandato. Já Denarium cai na Lei da Ficha limpa e fica inelegível por oito anos, inviabilizando a sua atual candidatura.
Para "mandato tampão" - ocupação do cargo via indireta ou direta até a próxima eleição regular - novas eleições podem ser convocadas para o governo de Roraima.
