A Marcopolo aposta no crescimento das vendas de ônibus produzidos no Brasil a países da América Latina para contrapor uma desaceleração prevista para o mercado brasileiro.

"A Argentina foi um dos grandes mercados de exportação para nós (em 2025) e em 2026 começamos a ver outros mercados interessantes (na América Latina)", disse presidente-executivo da companhia, André Armaganijan, em entrevista à Reuters.

Ele citou um mercado aquecido no Peru e Bolívia, mas também vê oportunidades no Paraguai.

No ano passado, os negócios internacionais, que incluem tanto a exportação quanto as vendas realizadas no exterior, foram responsáveis por 45,4% da receita líquida total da Marcopolo, ante 36,3% em 2024.
