Uma jovem de 26 anos morreu, na segunda-feira, 20, após sofrer queimaduras graves durante um ritual religioso realizado na zona rural de Araraquara (SP). A vítima foi identificada como Josélia Santos Oliveira.
O acidente aconteceu na última sexta-feira, 17, quando ela foi socorrida inicialmente em Américo Brasiliense. Devido à gravidade dos ferimentos, foi transferida no dia seguinte para a Santa Casa de Araraquara, onde permaneceu internada até não resistir.
Segundo informações registradas em boletim de ocorrência, o incidente ocorreu durante a manipulação de pólvora em um ritual. O material teria caído no momento da queima, provocando chamas que atingiram principalmente o tórax e o rosto da vítima.
