"A possibilidade de realizar o reconhecimento de paternidade de forma digital representa um avanço importante para ampliar o acesso da população a esse direito. Ao simplificar o procedimento, os Cartórios contribuem para reduzir o número de crianças sem o nome do pai e fortalecer vínculos familiares", afirma.

Falta de paternidade ainda é realidade no país

Apesar dos avanços, o número de crianças sem o nome do pai ainda é alto. Em Minas Gerais, mais de 12 mil registros por ano são feitos sem a identificação paterna, segundo os dados apresentados pelos cartórios.
