Em todos os casos registrados neste ano, os pacientes não tinham histórico de vacinação. A Secretaria da Saúde de São Paulo reforça que a vacina — que é gratuita — é a medida mais importante e eficaz para prevenir a febre amarela.
A vacina contra a febre amarela está disponível nas Unidades Básicas de Saúde (UBSs) e em postos de saúde do SUS.
Crianças devem receber uma dose aos 9 meses e, depois, um reforço aos 4 anos de idade. Quem recebeu uma dose antes dos 5 anos deve tomar reforço.
