Um motorista, que não teve a idade revelada, morreu após uma batida frontal entre um caminhão e uma carreta na BR-116, na altura do km 352, em Jampruca, no Vale do Rio Doce. O acidente aconteceu nesta quinta-feira (23).

Segundo o Corpo de Bombeiros, a vítima estava no caminhão. Já o motorista da carreta, de 44 anos, foi atendido pelo Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (Samu).

De acordo com os militares, a carreta - carregada de bois - trafegava no sentido Governador Valadares. No momento da batida, o caminhão, com cana de açúcar, veio no sentido contrário. Com a colisão, o reservatório de combustível de um dos veículos teria se rompido, com óleo vazando na pista. Para realizar a limpeza, o fluxo nos dois sentidos da BR chegou a ser interrompido.

Após a perícia da Polícia Civil (PC), os Bombeiros removeram o corpo da vítima, em uma operação que demandou o auxílio da Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF).
